Kelly Parker studied music at Concordia College, Moorhead and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance. She has studied piano with Randi Rokke, Inta Stahl and Dr. Lynn Jones and voice with Michelle Monroe.
She moved to Queens, NY and founded Grace Note Piano Studio in 2007, teaching piano students from all over the world. Being an Iowa native, she returned to the Cedar Valley in 2016 and teaches piano students at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. In 2018 she expanded her program to offer early childhood music and movement classes. She says, “I have the best career in the world! I love to have fun and make children smile while developing their musical gifts.”
She was selected to be the recipient of the Steinway & Sons Top Teacher Award and is a Steinway & Sons educational partner, is a member of Music Teacher’s National Association, and our local chapter NAMTA, earned her Child Development Associate Credential and is a registered Music Together® teacher. Currently Kelly is working on her certification through the National Music Teacher’s Association.
